The MYRCA book winner is… OCDaniel by Wesley King ! Shooter by Caroline Pignat and The Nameless City by Faith Erin Hicks were picked as the Honour Books. There will be a special award ceremony next fall in which Wesley King will receive an award and speak to the students about the writing process and answer questions from the audience. September 2018 Kindergarten students and their parents are invited to our Kindergarten Orientation on Tuesday, May 8 from 6:30-7:30pm. We want to introduce ourselves to you and show you around our beautiful school. We also would like to take some time to get to know you and answer any questions you may have about our school.
Each year a parent committee is formed to organize a farewell that takes place in June, for grade 8’s moving onto another school. If you are a parent of a grade 8 student and would like to be part of the planning committee, please call the school.
Parents, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and community members are invited to join us for our “I Love to Read” assembly on Tuesday February 20 at 11:00am. Immediately following our assembly, you are invited to share a book a student.
Our Grade 8 students will be attending the Optimist Festival in Winnipeg, on Tuesday, February 20th. Students need to spend some time every evening, rehearsing for this event. Lets make some beautiful music together!
PFD Swim Test All Grade 7/8 students that are heading to Red Rock Camp next week and would like to participate in canoeing, must either have proof of passing Red Cross Swim Level 6, or must pass a PFD swim test on Tuesday at the Steinbach Pool. More information and Form attached.
